Welcome to Irish Race Photography

Motorcycling has been the way of life for me ever since my late Father took me to watch the Cookstown 100, many moons ago!. I was only a toddler then, but it was enough to get me hooked on a sport that has made me many friends, not only at home here, but from far across the globe.

Of course, Road Racing is my main love, because there is something attached to this sport, that NO other sport is on the same parallel.
My childhood hero was a guy called Brian Steenson, who sadly lost his life during the 1970 Senior TT, And it was in the same year, that I first visited the Famous IOM TT Races, Thanks to a promise from my Dad, If I got the 11plus exam, he would take me to the TT!. Thanks Dad, Something I will never forget.

Looking back, this was to be the start of quite a long association with the TT, Because, since then, I think I have attended no less than 22 times!
As time went on, I started taking photos, just as a hobby, something that I still enjoy doing these days.
Only last year, did I manage to join the world of Digitial Photography, after purchasing a 2nd hand CanonD30., and a 200mm Canon Lens.

This opened a whole new horizion for me, and it is something I am really enjoying (and still learning!).
I do not profess to take a high standard photograph, however, I do try to capture the images of various moments of a race, which I find very satisfying!.
Due to having to work on a Saturday, it wasn?t later in life, that I got to attend all race events, and before I knew it, made my track debut!.

Since then, I have enjoyed racing, all over Ireland, few Endurance events on the mainland, and a few road races, my moto remains the same to day as it did when I started; To enjoy the race , and the craic that follows!

Highlights of my racing include; Winning the Irish ss400 Clubmans title in 1997, invited by Honda, to participate in their 40th Anniversary Lap of Honour at the IOM TT!, AND Winning Man of the Meeting at Dundalk Hillclimb in 1998.For some unknown reason, I have been christened; Irelands Fastest Photographer!,  I Wonder Why? Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking through these pictures, any queries or comments, please let me have them, and like yourselves, I am looking forward to the 2006 season,

Please feel free to come and have a chat at the race meetings, after all , isn?t that what life is all about?
